Thlayli is the Lapine name for Bigwig, the rabbit Lika is obsessed with from "Watership Down". Unfortunately, finding a picture of Bigwig is impossible, so Karen will have to do. Lika isn't shedding any tears over that ^_~

When I was just a little girl, I asked my Mommy what shall I be
Shall I be pretty, Shall I be rich
Here's what she said to me

Sing it with me folks!

Que Sera Sera, Whatever will be will be
The future's not our to see, Que Sera, Sera

Social Blogging

That’s it? That’s all we get of my Karen? We didn’t even get to see the colors of her eyes. I guess it’s better than nothing, and heaven knows I’ve been staring at the same picture over and over saying, “oh, if I could be that cross so close to her skin…”

Ammie you fairy princess, you sugar and icing of darlings, your post about Karen brought tears of joy to my eyes. For someone else to talk about her! Okay, so it was favor, but I was still touched. And of course we love the dorky blond on crack. He's one of the few people with a shred of common sense in the series.

And thanks for posting the Bubble fanart ^^ It's real pretty, Satsuki-chan! And the first of its kind too. No, I haven't heard of Goethe, but we are reading a play by Marlowe about Faustus. As it is I am having a religious crisis, I can't seem to bring myself to read it unfortunately, but I love Marlowe. If you're a destined loser, than destined-loserhood is much better and appealing than winnership.

Pride was the original sin, Epeeblade, though I would have loved it if the Pardoner was right about it being gluttony. If you want my opinion, it's the whole idea of being denied something. Adam and Eve didn't want to be denied of the fruit, I don't want to give up internet, you get the point. It is a long fall and I wish I would stop being upset at God about how deep it is. I look forward to your next layout^^

Malice, I miss your blog.

Your kitties are adorable, Alison, especially Loki. Don't ask me why, but I expected them to look different from the cats here in Canada *shakes head* How about a group picture now ^_^?

Jeannie got a job at the Comic Book Shoppe!!! You're so lucky :)

Metamia, I wished you were at the wedding. We could have had so much fun with Mike, but I'm going to Etobicoke for Christmas. Any chance that you're going home for the holidays?

I hope the move goes well, Maria and that we don't go Maria-less for long when it does. Sarai seems to be going through the same thing as you are. Why is it that marriage seems to go together with displacement? Bob is lucky to have you.

Who would have thought the Kotori prospect could be so good? I couldn't stop laughing. And it really doesn't help that her lovey dovey Kamui-chan- having left shortly after the loss of mother- decides that ignoring the girl will protect her. Jackass. ROTFL! Love the wild card part. Oh no, you're not biased at all ;)

Yes, I'm well aware of the idiocracy of social blogging, especially since I do email four of five of the above mention people. But if you're like me and you're a lousy emailer (we cheer when we get new mail and then groan when we realise we need to write more to get more), social blogging is a godsent. Plus it's a way of telling the world how darn interesting you are and wow, imagine the emails! and it also tells the world Look at Just how Damn Popular I am.

Actually, I think the reason I social blog is because I want the people who said my name in their blogs to let them know yes, I read what you wrote and I'm replying to it. People like seeing their names or links in other people's blog, I believe. I do at least. Wanting fame is one of the symptons of people who suffer delusions of grandeaur, though mostly, I like seeing my name on blogs of people who I really care about. Half of social blogging is returning the favor, but really, it's fun for people to see their names all over the internet, if it is, "Thanks for the rec for the fic, Kerianne ^_^" (Also hope you're feeling better and great Karen pic links.) Don't ask me why having other people see it as well as opposed to seeing it in email makes it any more special. Maybe it's the whole idea that other people can answer it too, that someone else could jump into the conversation and say, Hey, I like Karen too, or You watch Dr. Who too? It's a people-linked thing as opposed to something between two people.

However there are stuff that should be kept to two people. Good old email. There's a time and place for everyone, I guess.

You know you’re an idiot when you are an X manga freak and you put off looking at the X TV series pictures because you’re was afraid of getting spoiled. Cookies and much thanks to Duckroll for them.

The wedding will be remembered as the wedding where the flowergirls bitch-slapped each other during the ceremony

Flowergirls Con (age 7) and Si (age 5) need to be given up for adoption and given up soon. An eleven-year-old girl caught the bouquet which means I’m not getting hitched for another fifteen years. Si lifted her dress for all to see and yelled to her Mommy that she was bored. Bilingual ceremonies are atrocious in that they go on for at least hour. Pretty shoes are torture to wear. My Maid-of-Honor speech could have been so much better. The food was excellent. The bride looked lovely. The groom spent two hours shaving so he looked surprising good. The wedding cake was a dream. I did not faint or suffer a seizure as my mom feared I would. Si gave a dog howl during the speeches. Si also spent the reception running around with a Johnny Croquet hat and screamed and bit anyone who tried to take it off her. She screamed and bit a lot of people, including the Maid of Honor. The orange-up-the-pants game succeeded without any obsencities. The Best Man and I went fifty km over the speed limit to get home and bring the guestbook in time for the wedding. No, we did not get pulled over. Yes, we made it in time. The Best Man did not sing “How much is that doggie in the window” during kareoke. Shame. Con sang “Oh Danny Boy” and it was good. During photo shoots outdoors, we saw seven other brides and wedding parties. They got mocked (by me of course) because our dresses were nicest than all of theirs. Thank Mom and Aunt Nancy for making them. I only ate for one minute during the reception because the groom made me haul all the presents into the car for most of it. I am bitter about misisng all those good food. Ninety percent of the wedding present were picture frames and drinking glass. My favorite present was the gorgoeous green ceremic pitcher. I missed the premiere of Buffy ;_;

Off to church

I will return all social blogging and emails and MB posts the day after tomorrow, but I wanted to entertain you with various updates of my life. First off, my cousin from France arrived yesterday for the wedding, and oh, does my French suck. He thought I was speaking the English the whole time >_< Secondly, he bought this little clock as a wedding present for my brother and his wife, a replica of the London Tower kinda of, which plays the same chiming as the London Tower does. You know which one: middle dong, low dong, low dong, middle dong, middle dong, high dong, high dong, middle dong. Only this one decided to improvise so it also plays a chimey tune for the next thirty second as well.

Anyways, that stupid clock kept me up for the half the night. It plays its chime every fifteen minutes. I'm not joking. My brother set it so it every fifteen minutes, we have the thirty second chime. I would begin to fall asleep and then its "dong dong dong" again. By two in the morning, I was ready to go downstair and hurl the clock out of the window. The inlaw and I bitched to him about it, we threaten to smash the clock if it doesn't shut up, and he laughed his fool head off. He said give it ten days and we should be used to it--

AAARRUUGGHH! IT JUST WENT OFF AGAIN!!!

Other news, we got a call from blockbuster about an overdue Sailor Moon video I borrowed for my nieces a month ago. I completely forgotten about it. So I asked them how much the fine was.

O.o O.o O.o O.o

@#$%^&*)(@#$%&)*&%@@#%#$^@#!$%#!%!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And that was when I threw the swear jar out the window ^_____^

Off to Bed I just printed out an essay that's due today at 11:30am and I'm so tired. Must stop doing things last minute. Maybe then my grades won't be so abysmal. ali of the small a variety, a 76 is a C in the states? It's a B here in Canda. As are anything between 80-100, which means that my marks in American standards would probably not make a pass.

Disclaimers first off

About the below rant, I want to add that while untranslated not-English annoys me in fanfic, it doesn't in blogs, rants, websites, and personal stuff like that. Blog in six different langauges, I don't mind ^_^

I pulled out all the fic stuff to the left. Finally got fed up with the broken links and besides, you could be reading better stuff, like Blue Rose Falling, DoS fanfic, and Linh's updated Venus Gospel site. there's nothing better than a boy who's willing to pull the stick out of Kamui's ass and beat him with it ROTFL!!! Linh, I love you! But it seems Ammie may love you more XD

So I found out that my parents had lied to me about there being no more mooncakes in Chinatown. Not knowing when the Autumn Festival was, my parents told me the season was over and there was no more cakes for me. I found out that really they were hiding mooncakes all over the house because I'm infamous for finishing whole boxes in mere minutes and well, not sharing. So we had mooncakes yesterday, and I gorged myself until I hurted. Literally. My mom is disgusted with me. My brother's wedding is this Saturday (and I probably won't see you guys until afterwards ;_;) and the whole idea was that I lose weight before it, not gain weight. But we're talking mooncakes here.

Other news, to curve my "colorful language", I have followed Homer Simpson and came up with a swear jar. Each time I swore, I will put 25 cent in. If you're expecting me to say jar is almost filled and I now have enough to pay for a subscription to Asuka, think again. There is nothing in the jar. Mind you, this is not to highlight how great my willpower is. This is to highlight just how broke I really am *grin*

However, since Ammie asked so nicely, I will put a quarter in the jar just for her: Daisuke? Good Fuck, Yeah! Oh, you so owe me for that one!

Satsuki-chan, ever heard of a guy called Dr. Faustus?

Yes, I was talking about most lovely layout, Jenni. It's HK movie, Leslie Cheung, Tony Leung, slash, and Wong Kar Wai all in one. Wong Kar Wai, John Woo, and Tsui Hark are my babies so the layout was much appreciated.

Won't say what kind of angel though ^__~

Need to work on my French grammar, spelling, and vocabulary. Badly >_< Don't worry, I will the practising offline *grin* I envy you multilingual people. How can you keep the different languages straight?

Your Japanese is Better than Mine

I love hecklers, people who talk during movies saying stuff like, "oh, that's so sweet!" and "Boo, that guy is SUCH a loser." I'm not of those folks who wants absolute quiet when watching a movie. The only thing I ask for is that during subtitled movies, people don't correct the subtitles every freaking minute.

Okay, there are some subtitles that are atrocious. Hecto's subtitling of Rurounin Kenshin comes to mind. Sano says, "Go away" and somehow we get, "I'll beat the $%@&*& @$%^ out of your @$%^@ !##$!!!" Okay, then you can tell me the subtitlers did a horrible job of it. But I have people who when the subtitle says, "I'm off to work," turn to me and says, "that's not what she said. She said I'm leaving and going to work."

And you're telling me that why?

Subtitling is never about getting everything 100% It's about giving people who can't understand the language enough information so that they can follow and understand the dialogue and story. The moment people get that into their head, the happier we will all be.

Unless the mistake in subtitling is really off the mark, or it screws up the meaning of the plot/character/story somehow (as most HK DVD are wont to do *scowls*), or they miss out on the impact or emotion of the moment, people correcting subtitles are just flat out distracting and irritating. Plus they smack of "Look at how much better my Japanese/Chinese/French/Arabic/sign language/whatever is than yours."

People, let me tell it to you right now: if you can say a full sentence in any of those languages, your Japanese/Chinese/French/Arabic/sign language/every-other-friggin'-language-not-English is BETTER than mine. I'm impressed already! I'm laying prostrate at your feet gazing at you with great admiration at how great your non-English language is! So spare me the explanation that they missed a verb while I am trying to enjoy the movie.

While we're at it, please don't try to impress with your all-awesome vocabulary in your fanfic either. For pity sake, don't write whole freaking dialogue in Japanese. If you're going to use Japanese words, use it sparingly or do Japanese-impaired people like a favor and put translation next to it. Nothing ticks me off more than reading, "I will translate the Japanese text in the fanfic later on." Hell, I won't even stand for translations at the bottom of the fic. Put it at the top so I can at least process there and not to have scroll down to the bottom to see what the word means. It's inconvient. Plus it destroys the flow of the fic.

There are times when it doesn't bug me. Magic spells for instance, or when addressing someone as Otou-san or Aka-san or sensei. It's like calling people by their name, and that's fine with me. Food is all right (okonomyaki), or names of restaurant and clothes and stuff like that. There's a bunch of places for them. Even in dialogue there's an appropriate time for it, especially when you're trying to highlight a point, like if a girl points under her bed and says, "mononoke." Monster (and it usually helps to put the word "monster" right after "mononoke.")

But there are fics where there is no reason for the Japanese insertion half the time. They hightlight nothing, except to show that a) the writer knows simple Japanese phrases and b) they really like pissing off their readers. It's gotten to a point where if I don't see translations for the Japanese text in fanfic soon after the Japanese word is use, or on the top of the fic, I won't read it. I don't care how good it is, I won't touch it. Nor will I touch fics where the translations is numerous that it distracts me from the story.

If you really want to write all the dialogue in Japanese, take a Japanese class and write a composition on it. Your teacher will appreciate it more than I do.

Having a Religious Crisis

If we were born sinful and hellbound, why create us? You knew we were going to be evil! It's unfair that You should make us anyway and then send us to hell when we die. I know You sent Your Son to die for us, and I am ever so grateful for that, it was really sweet of You, but You must have known so many people were't going to accept Him anyways and would go to Hell. Why have us then?

Just wanted to wish a Happy Mid-Autumn Festivals to the love of my life. And to Anna darling and Ali and Alicia as well. I don't know if you guys(throws biscuits) celebrate it, but Happy Mooncake season to you too. And mooncakes for you two because I'm sure Leslie would insist. And for her and her and her and everyone else!

ENJOY YOUR MOONCAKES!

My French is Lousy

Malice: Je sais que tu est tres bien. As good as the sweet sticky beanpaste in mooncakes;)

*draws breath* That is an awesome, awesome layout! :D

Speaking of layouts, it's nice to know there are other Karen fans out there. Hello kerianne! She knows Howl, that darling, though I do believe the credit goes to Ammie. She got me into Diane Wynne-Jone's books in the first place. May you find a Chrestomanci under the tree this Christmas, dear.

Satsuki-chan: The reason why Daisuke probably is the better kisser.

I love it when someone shares my view about bitches. And you're a nice married person, like Sarai :) I'm glad you don't think people who like singledom aren't diseased or something. So many people do and it annoys me to no end. I don't buy into the "everyone has a soulmate" bullshit. Partnership isn't for everyone. Friendship however is. I love that Sex and the City episode. Not the one you just watched, Satsuki-chan, but a much later episode. Best Soulmate musing I ever watched.

ali of small a variety: Y&R is only popular because it's on at a time when people can actually watch it. From what I heard, GH is much better. I mean, Neil and Malcolm are in love with the same girl for the third time. For goodness sake, is Genoa City so devoid of black women that the brothers have to like the same chick each time? Really, you'd think they'd stop asking each other to be best men at their weddings.

Ali of the big A variety: you really should thank the great and wonderful Alison for the Aoki/Karen picture. ^_^ Yes, DoS could do with a shrine of its own.

Funny movies I like (not in the order of funniness byt in the order that I like them)
Honourary Mention: Attack of the Killer Tomato: So bad it was good
5. Maelstrom: The movie is twisted but seeing the talking fish get chopped up over and over again did things to my funny bones.
4. There is Something about Mary: I laughed until it hurted.
3. The Magnificent Soundrel: I should be ashamed of myself for loving this so much.
2. Much Ado About Nothing: The scene with Benedict being suckered was so hilarious that I will forgive Shakespeare for Othello.
1. Bringing up Baby: Who would have thought B&W could have cracked me up so bad?

If it seems like I watch a lot of foreign and independent movies, it's because they are a lot cheaper to watch in threatre than mainstream movies ($5.00 vs. $12.50).

My ears popped

*waves to Epeeblade* Gotta love your lurkers ^_^

So the evil thing made it to you. You know I must really love a person if I send them something like that. I mean everything I said on the map, you know. ^_____^ Warning: Scan it and I will hurt you And see, we're not the only ones who like soap operas here. *waves at ali* But The Y&R is the best of course.

Someone called me twisted and I didn't even mention anti-Christ. I'm touched :)

I found out from my French class that to say "Je suis tres bien" is not "I am fine" or "I am doing very well" as the class thought it was, but "I taste good" or "I'm a good lover." Probably shouldn't say it to strangers in France.

My ears are killing me. How could going up 86m hurt so much? But it was worth it. Quebec is a the prettiest city ever made. I never saw a mountain in my life and they are so not over-rated. I will go to Tremblant for my Honeymoon.

Finally had a nice time with my family, which was much needed after this year of hell, which peaked these last two weeks. So some members are still bitter. Whatever. I'm exhausted and heading to bed to sleep and dream of mountains.

Thappy Mood

Blame it on an extemely effecting episode of A Wedding Story. The bride had cancer and the groom was always there for her, and even with all the crippling results of her illness, they still wanted to stay together. It was so sweet! *gets teary eyed* I sat there with a tissue box in front of me, using one after another. My mom and aunts were really taken back. Apparently I have a talent in making tissue flowers for the wedding. ^__^ They complimented me on them so much. We managed to finish 400 tissue flowers in the hour.

Taryn, I might as well go to a Southern Baptist Church. We got sermon#2 of why NYC is the city of sin. *rolls eyes* I still go to church because it makes my family happy and I do honestly love the people there. I grew up with them. They're cool Christians too. Not the "God will give me good grades and good family and everything on a fucking silver platter" kind of Christians which I can't stand, but Christians that struggle with their faith, wonder why God can be such a bastard sometimes, have issues with the Bible, and tries to come to terms with it. Sometimes they succeed, other times they don't. I didn't. Probably better for it. Anyways, good to know you're back and virus-free. But the way, I couldn't download what the reverend said. I'm assuming it was nothing until told otherwise ;)

I got a phone call from my friend in Toronto yesterday and she's found an In The Mood for Love poster for me! It's five bucks, cheap as hell, I couldn't care less if it was original or not. I just want it on my wall. So I am happy ^_^ I love my friends!

Anna, *hugs* back to you. And you owe me an email. *grin* Thanks a lot, Ammie, I can't listen to that song with a straight face anymore. "True the grey stuff, it's delicious." *howls*

Meta-chan, I'll stop squeezing you as soon as I get over how adorable your toes are. I am crushed though that you can't come to the wedding. I was so looking forward to it. But we could mess up Mike's mind another day. Or just in my basement and watch anime until 3 in the morning.

Satsuki-chan, you're so lucky to be able to watch the earlier episode of Sex and the City. Thanks for writing about them. You have no idea how much I appreciate reading them on your blog. I so know what you mean about boyfriends taking your friends away from you. When my sister got a boyfriend, I was happy for her, but then I felt like she wasn't my sister anymore and we haven't been as close since, even after she broke up with him. I guess it was inevitable. Still, I hope I remember the existence of my family and friends if I ever do succeed in brainwashing a guy into dating me. Would have to be some brainwashing though...

Not that I would marry anyone other than Alison of course! I love love LOVE my Alison Thank you SO MUCH for the Asuka scans! She gave me directly to me because I couldn't get into her site. You're so sweet! I'm totally unworthy. But I'm not stupid enough to pass up on something good of course ^_^

Finally, Karen shows up. And she looks stunning as always. *squeals* Karen and Aoki in chibi-form! Ali, we are so going out kareoking to celebrate.

Just wanted to add I love my Satsuki-chan to pieces too.

And I love Jenni and Malice because they FINALLY finished Blue Rose Falling. *beams* The new layout is so pretty. Malice, I have to get to class soon, but expect a huge email tomorrow from me. I'm glad your birthday went so well :)

The Swear List

I made a list of all the time I said "Fuck" during the week. Here are the results:

Said it only once:
*waking up late for class
*running after bus that left without me anyways
*trying on bridesmaid dress (mom was not impressed)
*waiting in line to buy lunch and then finding out that I didn't bring my wallet
*falling down the stairs
*falling up the stairs

Said it 2-5 times:
*kicking the said stairs and snapping my toenail
*slamming the door that automatically locks behind me and then realising that I left the keys in the house
*biting my tongue, though it sounded more like "fahh! fahh!"
*seeing the pricetag for my Victorian Literature Anthology

Said it 6-10 times:
*deleted email before sending it (I hate fat finger syndrone)
*while making a list of all reading I haven't done but should have done by now
*finding out that we are indeed doing Shakespeare in "The Drama of Shakespeare and his contemporaries." I know, I know

Said it 10-20 times:
*Drinkbox in school bag burst and drench everything in grape juice, including homework, textbook, and library loans ::scowls::
*Checking my bank account to see how much money I had left ::double scowls::

Said it 20+:
*missed an episode of A Wedding Story @#$%^&*!!!!! WTF! @#$^*!@!!!

If I ever wanted to see what my page would look like on drugs, all I have to do is see it on my school's computer. On netscape no less ^^

I'm feeling good. I finished the Jew of Malta and actually enjoyed it. I have my lovely French class tomorrow morning with that lovely French teacher. We're finishing the skits so I'm looking forward to hearing Anglophones butcher the French language. I already butchered it yesterday :D Somehow managed to say interesse in eleven hundred syllables.

I'm planning on working my ass off this weekend and finishing all the reading I neglected thus far, get started on essays and presentation, hopefully have both houses cleaned. In an anticipation of Sunday night when I will rent a bunch of movies and watch them with my family with a good conscience ^_^ My family may be broke and sarcastic and cracked and loud, but we all love a good Jet Li movie. With such good taste, you know I wouldn't trade them for the world.

Kareoke #1 was brought to you by a stroll down memory lane last night. Reliving my S/S days if you will. See, I don't hate Seishirou. I even still have that audio tape I made dedicated to him. I just get really pissed off when people say he's the only good character CLAMP came up with, he's the only well developed character CLAMP came up with, or he's the only character CLAMP came up with that has a personality. Karen will have more personality than he ever will. My opinion of course. Whatever. Fortuntely, not a lot of people say that, but some do. Lucky for me, they're not reading X anymore. *cackles*

Will learn to write short entries one day

Satsy dear, I couldn't stop laughing at your line "I can't bear the bear." ^_^ I know about family *pats hand sympathetically*and about being broke >_< Ammie, how did you change the color? Yes, I am indeed very impressed. Love the mouse and the disclaimer. Just howled. Thank-you. And ali, I would love to meet all the DoSer in real life too.

Malice, the song you asked me, I checked the Chinese-English dictionary and the last two words I believe is song and sound. I'll look for the other words later on. I so understand what you mean by jealousy because I feel the same way. Brilliant and thought-provoking, ye Gods. Worthy of parodies and I'll leave it at that. I wish my fics, or the fics I think are good, would get that kind of response, but since few of them do, I chalk it up to saying most readers are stupid. It doesn't exactly make me feel better, but a little bitterness can't hurt me, now can it?

I knew there was a reason I was trying to stay out of fanfic. I take my writing more serious than I previously care to admit. I wish I didn't. It would be so much easier if I did just just threw crap together and put it on display. Actually, I do do that. I just take my crap seriously as well >_< Ugh! Why do I suffer delusions of grandeaur? I wish didn't crave greatness as much I do.

Ten to one no one is going to like my next two fics. Crude humour, if you could even call it humour. Well, they entertained me. I'm happy with that.

I like yours and Jenni's writing because they're the kind of fics I used to read in the X Files fanfic community. Those people could write 2K vignettes that came out subtle and worth reading.

I also like Alison (patience, Asuka will come soon) and Maria(hope the move goes smoothly) and Shinri's stuff.

What puzzles me is that I couldn't stand Miaka in FY and I ADORED Miki in Marmalade Boy. They're essentially the same girls. Both are weepy, sentimental boys magnets that run away when they're upset. But Miaka got on my nerves while Miki I wanted to hug and cuddle and make my best friend. There has to be a difference somewhere.

Maybe it was because FY had a bitch (Yui) and MB didn't. I don't care how sweet you are, the bitch will always win my heart. Which, Ali, is why I like Ritsuko so much. I have a gift for liking people everyone hates. Check out my love for Cordelia. Of course Nuriko rocks. Though after him and Tasuki my favorite was Suboshi. I know, he killed Tamahome's family, but I didn't like them much to begin with. And if people can like Seishirou even though he killed innocent children, I don't see why I can't like Suboshi. Anyways, between the two of them, Suboshi was the most believable and interesting one. And darn cute as well!

Wow, someone other than me who lost interest in Seishirou after his side story. Some girls squealed over it, I threw it across the room and thank God for S/K.

The one thing that annoys me about Seishirou in fanfic: Sakura petals. Can we have one serious X fic that doesn't talk about "flurries of sakura petals", "storms of sakura petals," "whirls of sakura petals" and what have you. Sakura Tree is fine, Sakura petals on Sakura Trees is fine, but leave the flurries and storms and whirls out please.

Not to be taken seriously of course. Everyone knows I hate Sakura Petals. But honestly, you just can't take a guy seriously when everytime he appears, there is a "storm of Sakura Petals." I'm afraid all right. Flower juice stains are a bitch to get out. Actually, they're nothing Spray and Wash can't get out by why waste the bottle? I'm a starving, broke student, who's currently pissed at her parents for being illiterate and poor, though the illiterates have an advantage over us literates. But that's for another post.

This post has been brought to you by 1 unread Marlowe play, 2 unread Canterbury tales, 3 unfinished poem presentations, 4 miserable classes, and 7 unhappy family members, 8 including myself. I'm fine, just fine. And Ali, no attack meant on you. You know I love you ^_^

Do NOT give her a knife!!!

For if my punky bear Satsuki-chan ceases to exist, I won't be long for the world either. See, only for you would I stoop to the level of such eupheisms. That list was just a look at the people who I liked BA (before Alison, though some I still like now). If I were to make a list of people I adore now, you would be So Up There! You were my first X email friend, the first person I airmailed anything to, the first person I wrote especially for (Piano Keys). I never forget my first, you dearest of darlings.

Beside, how seriously a list can you take where Sandra Bullock is featured ^_~?

My list of Major Crushes
aka if you want to know my age, read this.

As many of you know, Alison is the caramel chocolate of my heart and soul, and currently owns the former ^_^ Possibly may owe the ladder in the future. But before there was Alison (could it be possible there was life before Alison!?), there were a slew of crushes that defined eras of my life. Here they are briefly:

(Quick Note: I also love Hugh Jackman, Leslie Cheung, Donnie Yuen, Jet Li, Subaru, Reed Diamond, Snape, Kamui, etc. etc. but these are the major ones, criteria-ised by a) if they defined an era of my life and b) if they were big enough that people knew about them.)

Maggie Cheung - watched "Happy Ghost III" when I was 7 and fell in love. Then much later, I dragged my friend to see In the Mood for Love and she came out going, "Oh, Maggie." ^_^ It's her smile. No one smiles like she does. And she is a wonderful actress to boot. I love her in any movie that she's in.

Brigitte Lin - I was about 13 when I first saw "SwordsmanII" and went nuts over her. She's a hate her or love her actress though. Sometimes I can't stand her in a movie, other times she's just awesome.

Sandra Bullock - Good grief, WHY? >_< I was 14, stupid, I'll leave it at that.

Dana Scully - I was 15 and it lasted all throughout high school. Poor as I was, I managed to buy dozens of magazines with Gillian Anderson in them, wrote poems and journal entries about her, quoted her constantly, and would spend hours staring at her pictures. I believe it was at this point my sister started asking about my sexual orientation. I fell out of love with her when that AWFUL FTF movie came out.

Nuriko/Ritsuko - (18) Like I could resist the crossdressing gay guy with constant PMS and a heart of gold. Ritsuko I loved because she was an unloved bitch and you know how I feel about them.

Cordelia/Kate Lockley - (18-20) Cordelia = megabitch = I adore with all my heart. Kate Lockley was a believable, conflicted person who was willing to stab Angel ^^

Karen - Okay, who reading this blog doesn't know how I feel about her? The COOLEST (yes, that includes Seishirou) character CLAMP came up with. I love her, adore her, worship her, kiss the ground she treads since reading X13 a year ago.

Bigwig - So he's a rabbit. He's a cool rabbit. Cool enough that I named my blog after him. I read Watership after New Years, 2001 and at age 21 I went insane after the bunny. He was too cool for words. Just the image of him baring his buck teeth, standing on his hind legs, and scratching and biting other rabbits, his bunny eyes all glowing red... Oh, nosebleeds!

Hit all 3 blog functions

I wish I watched Sex and the City in its infancy. Glad to know that Carrie was still a sweetie then, though. Always happy to know to see people being able to leave awful jobs:) Check it out, Audrey gave us DoSers our own blog secton =D Ammie, it took me MONTHS to figure out how to link pages and you're already doing it. I'm impressed.

I miss the Dewey Decimal System. Library of Congress is no fun.

Thank you to Linh (dig your new layout!) and Jeannie(if that happened at work/school, I would freak out too) for helping me pronouce music in French. ^_^ I like my French class. My French teacher is impressed that I know 1998 is mille neuf cent quatre vinge dix huit and now wanted me to go the harder French class. I went to the harder French class and the teacher demanded that I tell him my life's history in French. I got as far as "Je m'appelle" and he told me to go back so I'm back in the first class repeating, "Bonjour, comme ca va?" thirty times in a row.

To all people who wants to beat the living shit out of Muslims and Arabs, if you're so incline to go around harassing a certain race of people for no concrete reason, you're going to have to bear some of the responsibility if they turn around and bite you back.

Oh,Azure and ali of the small A variety (are you all right ali?) got their blog =D Welcome to the blogworld girls! More entertainment for me!!! Thankee!

To people who wish all blogs were intelligent and meaningful, go hit your head against a brick wall for me. They're blogs for goodness sake. They serve three fuction: 1. rants 2. social blogging 3. diary How philosophical and political do you want them to be? But then again, I am one those people who only reads three section of the newspaper: letters, comics, Ann Landers. And movie reviews on Friday.

*listening to (according to my in-law's dictionary) To have Heart Person*

Malice, this is your fault. I've been listening to the midi files there for weeks since I found the link at your weblog. Imagine Leslie Cheung's voice singing them *swoon* My family is about to strangle me if I play Beyond one more time. At least I gave Sarah Brightman a break. I only have nine CDs and half are anime soundtrack. There's not a lot of variety I can play. Thank God for midi files. May free music live on!

I will now present you one of my infamous list. I'm a movie freak that can give Ali of the Big A variety (feeling better, dear, thanks!) a run for her money in that department so except a list of movies for the rest of the week.

Top Five Movies that unsettled me

5. Temptress Moon - This movie was two hours long and I watched it in one. Thank you fast forward button. Despite that, I coudln't stop thinking about the movie when it was over. What people will do to people they love.

4. The Sweet Hereafter - Closure is the bullshit society came up with. I left this movie hearing the voices of dead children with the thought that when they are dead, they are dead.

3. Farewell My Concubine - My mother hated this movie. There were so many scenes that icked me for weeks to come (and made me wonder if Leslie Cheung ever got sick of playing sexual abused characters). Was also one of the most touching movies I've ever seen.

2. The Elephant Man - There were so many scenes that made me disgusted and fearful. At people, at myself because I was repelled by his appearance too. And that ending! I had nightmares because of that stupid ending!!! It's a very very very disturbing movie but highly recommanded.

1. Raise the Red Lantern - The worst of them yet. I couldn't sleep after I watched it because I kept thinking of that forbidden room. It was like that place in my mind where my darkest fears were hiding, Rm 101 in 1984. And the realisation that there are worst things than violence and torture: boredom, unsatisfaction, loneliness, hatred, how easy it is to kill someone with just your angery, the fact that nothing ever fucking changes in life, madness. It was just chilling. I don't think anyone will make a movie that thoroughly disturbed me as much as this one did.
